Dance tutors, brother and sister, Joe and Mary McGuigan from Bellaghy in South Derry describe themselves as traditional step dancers. They have been involved in dance all their lives, competitively and socially, and have vast experience as performers, teachers, and choreographers. Joe and Mary are very interested in passing on the older styles of dances that exist in the Northwest of Ireland such as Maggie Pickens, the Clap Dance, Mazurka and the Lancers. They believe everyone can dance, so why don’t you come along and join Joe and Mary and get into step for the festival weekend…..uplifting your spirits and adding years to your lives!
